MRE (Meals Read to Eat) are military combat rations provided to soldiers in the field of duty. Due to their unappetizing taste they have earned the nickname of ‘meals rejected by everyone.’ With this project, a collaboration between Chuck George, Jimmy Pham and Henry Hargreaves, they wanted to reimagine the meals and plate in a manner of a Michelin starred meal. In essence, taking the worst food, provided to the bravest people and visually elevate it as if it were being served in one of the world’s most revered restaurants. // I MRE (piatti pronti da mangiare) sono le razioni militari fornite ai soldati in missione.
