Potafiori // Milano

Potafiori, no other name could have been better to enclose the essence of Rosalba Piccinni, who just launched her third project in Milan. The ‘florist singer’ indeed has chosen the bergamasque ‘pota’ for its several meanings, from the pot which refers to the womb that creates beauty, to the renown saying of her hometown, to the pruning, an activity she practices everyday to take care of her plants.

Thanks to the proficient renovation by architecture firm Storage Associati the space at via Salasco 17 has been transformed. Then, with the partnership of her friend Maria Grazia Senatore who also happen to be a great chef, Rosalba gave life to a magic place where you’ll be able to rest and taste excellent food, surrounded by wonderful flowers and accompanied by the sound of her jazz singing.

La “cantante fiorista” orobica ha scelto il bergamasco “pota” per i suoi diversi significati, dal vaso che richiama il ventre femminile che genera bellezza, al noto intercalare della sua città d’origine, al potare, operazione che la vede impegnata giornalmente per la cura delle sue piante.

Grazie alla sapiente trasformazione dello spazio da parte dello studio di architettura Storage Associati e alla collaborazione dell’amica chef Maria Grazia Senatore, Rosalba ha creato, come in una delle sue migliori improvvisazioni jazz, un luogo dove abbandonarsi per gustare dell’ottimo cibo, tra note floreali e canore.
