Louis Vuitton is celebrating “Volez, Voguez, Voyagez – Louis Vuitton” at the Grand Palais till 21st February 2016. Curated by Olivier Saillard, this exhibition retraces Louis Vuitton’s great journey from 1854 till today, through depictions of the Maison’s founding members and those who create the Louis Vuitton of tomorrow.

The thematic journey conceived and designed by Robert Carsen navigates through nine chapters, opening with the absolute symbol of Louis Vuitton: an antique malle. An innately modern design, it foresaw what were to become the Maison’s iconic codes and epitomised Louis Vuitton’s daring spirit. The exhibition presents objects and documents from Louis Vuitton’s Heritage as well as a selection of pieces lent by the Palais Galliera, Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris. A section dedicated to Craftsmanship closes the exhibition.

// Louis Vuitton ha presentato “Volez, Voguez, Voyagez – Louis Vuitton” in mostra al Grand Palais di Parigi fino al 21 Febbraio 2016. Curata da Olivier Saillard, questa mostra ripercorre il grande viaggio di Louis Vuitton dal 1854 ad oggi, attraverso i ritratti dei membri fondatori della Maison, così come di coloro che stanno creando oggi il futuro di Louis Vuitton.

Il viaggio tematico concepito e disegnato da Robert Carsen, si svolge attraverso 9 capitoli, aprendo con il simbolo assoluto di Louis Vuitton: un antico baule. Un design moderno innato, che lasciava prevedere quali sarebbero diventati i codici emblematici della Maison e incarnava lo spirito audace di Louis Vuitton. La mostra presenterà oggetti e documenti dal patrimonio di Louis Vuitton, nonché una selezione di pezzi prestati dal Palais Galliera, Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris. Una sezione dedicata al Savoir-Faire chiuderà la mostra.
