Born in Budapest, Zsolt Hlinka found himself looking at the beautiful buildings lining on the banks of the river Danube and thought of drawing out of it an unusual photo project. Urban Symmetry features photographies of these elegant architectures’ facades split down the center and manipulated digitally in order to achieve the perfect symmetry.

Hlinka then extracted the buildings from the residential surroundings, cleaning the whole exterior information and placing each onto a monochromatic background that matched the facade’s palette.

Urban Symmetry mostra fotografie delle facciate di queste eleganti architetture spaccate a metà e manipolate digitalmente fino a raggiungere la simmetria perfetta.

Hlinka ha poi estrapolato gli edifici dal contesto, cancellandone ogni riferimento e posizionandoli su sfondi monocromatici che riprendessero i colori di ciascuna facciata.
