Started last April 2014, Seeing Calvino is an illustration project by three artists and friends Matt Kish, Joe Kuth and Leighton Connor. The purpose is trying to give life to the visions Italian author Italo Calvino wrote about in his famous novel Invisible Cities (1972).
A new drawing, will be posted on the tumblr page every Wednesday illustrating one of the 55 imaginary cities. Along with the picture will come a quote from the book that describes the features of the city and its uniqueness.
// Partito lo scorso Aprile 2014, Seeing Calvino è un progetto di illustrazione ad opera di tre artisti e amici, Matt Kish, Joe Kuth e Leighton Connor. L’obiettivo è quello di provare a dar vita alle visioni descritte dall’autore Italo Calvino nel suo romanzo Le città invisibili (1972).
Un nuovo disegno, realizzato con diverse tecniche, verrà postato sul tumblr ogni mercoledì ed illustrerà rispettivamente una delle 55 città immaginarie.
