Belgian based label Valerie_objects gathered several international designers to develop The Cutlery Project: a cutlery collection by Jinhyun Jeon (KR/NL), Muller Van Severen (B), Maarten Baas (NL), Studio Simple (B/NL), Koichi Futatsumata (JPN) and Studio Wieki Somers (NL).
Basically, all of them have created the same thing: a prototype set of tools, spoons, forks and knives, to eat with. The result is six totally quirky high-end luxury sets of cutlery that surprise and delight eyes, hands and mouth, each of them reflecting the own vision of their designer.
The designs of Maarten Baas (NL) and Koichi Futatsumata (JPN) are the first two sets that have been taken in production. With their interpretation of the ideal set of cutlery they will feature the Antwerp based label.

Essenzialmente, tutti loro hanno creato la stessa cosa: un set prototipo di utensili, cucchiai, forchette e coltelli, per mangiare. Il risultato sono sei particolari ed esclusivi set di posate che sorprendono e deliziano gli occhi, le mani e le bocche, ognuno di questi riflettendo la soggettiva visione del suo designer.
I progetti di Maarten Baas (NL) e Koichi Futatsumata (JPN) sono i primi ad essere stati scelti per la produzione. Con la loro interpretazione dell’ideale set di posate i progetti porteranno il marchio belga Valerie_objects.
